Acmenox MB 2

This is non-discoloring, non-staining antioxidant for the NR and SR based compounds. They give moderate protection against heat & oxidation if used alone but primarily as synergistic antioxidant in combination with other antioxidants of both amine & phenolic type i.e. Mernox TQ, 6C, SP, Acmenox BL to provide excellent ageing resistance. The best protection is provided in Thiuram and Dithiocarbamate curing systems, containing little or no sulphur. Acmenox MB 2 also protect against rubber poisons, in combination with Mernox 6C(6PPD). It is used in high performance conveyor belting(based on NBR), Cable sheath(based on NBR/PVC). Addition of Merenox MB2 to CR based compound, significantly improves its flex cracking resistance, where 6PPD is not advisable due to scorch tendency. A very low volatility of MB2 assures a long lasting protection.
