ACMETOL 1105

ACMETOL 1105 is a non-discolouring multifunctional additive based on a processing additive which is used as a mild mastication additive. It gives excellent dispersion in rubber, and at the same time the dispersion of powdery compounding materials is improved. ACMETOL 1105’s performance differs from standard chemical peptizers. Its masticating effect issomewhat slower; however, it remains active for a longer period. Preferably the highmolecular weight polymer chains are broken down, resulting in more uniform molecular weightdistribution and better dynamic vulcanizate properties.The optimum performance of ACMETOL 1105 is achieved at about 130°C, but is also effective atconsiderably lower temperatures and can therefore be used on two-roll mills at temperatures above 90°C.
